New Course Record
Well done Adam Elwick for setting a new course record from the white tees. Adam shot a gross 69 which beat the previous record by one shot. Apologies for the delay in posting the notification but we have confirmed with the DCGU that although the 17th tee is 30 yards forward of the marked course, if the overall yardage is within 100 yards, as it was, the record is good.
Chedington Court Golf Club Committee
The committee wishes to co-opt a member of the golf club to fill a vacancy that has occurred. The appointed member will have full voting rights until the AGM in April 2011. If you are interested in this position, please speak to the Club Captain, Nick Gabb.
New 10 Hole record
On Wednesday 11th August Paul Wills shot a 3 under par 37(gross). This has broken the previous record by Steve Fussell of a 2 under par 38. This is a new course record for the Roll-Up 10 hole course off the yellow tees.
Well done Paul
What a Great Achievement by Phil Bowditch
This year Phil Bowditch won the Club Championship (gross) AND the Club Championship (net) AND the Seniors Club Championship (gross), what a feat. I think this will stand as a record for a very very long time. Phil is a Senior and plays off a handicap of 6, fantastic play. I know I speak for everyone at the club when I say, we are full of admiration for what you have achieved. Well done Phil.
Alex Stevenson
Well done to Alex Stevenson who shot a gross 68 equalling the course record from the yellow tees and best wishes for the future which starts with the Nick Faldo golf Academy later this year.
Help For Heroes
A big thank you to everyone who took part and contributed to the Help for Heroes weekend which generated £304.29 for the charity. A national event hoping to raise £1M over the weekend. We did our bit. Thank you all.
Club Captain, Nick Gabb
